Rayna Wooten

Rayna Wooten, MS, RD, LD is President of Nutrition Therapy Associates, Inc. and is a well-known Registered and Licensed Dietitian In the San Antonio area. She has a Bachelor's degree in Nutritional Sciences from Texas A&M University and a Master's of Science in Nutrition from Texas Woman's University and has been working in the field of nutrition since 2001. Rayna started her clinical career at Children's Medical Center in Dallas, TX, where she received a solid foundation and was exposed to most pediatric diseases and conditions. Since moving to San Antonio, TX, Rayna has worked at Christus Santa Rosa Children's Hospital as the NICU and metabolic dietitian and at Wilford Hall Medical Center in the Pediatric Wellness Center. In addition to these positions, Rayna kept a part-time position with NTA, counselling private patients on a variety of nutrition concerns and seeing Early Childhood Intervention patients. Rayna specializes in pediatric nutrition and ensuring the health and wellness of children through optimal nutrition.


Rayna understands the need to give back to the dietetic community and volunteers in her professional organizations. In 2007, Rayna started the Pediatric Nutrition Group in San Antonio, in an effort to unite pediatric dietitians in the area for networking support and continuing education possibilities. Rayna served in this role for 2 years, before handing it off and becoming the San Antonio Dietetic Association's Vice President and serving on the Texas Dietetic Association's Nominating Committee. Over the past year, she has given her time to support the Healthy Restaurant Coalition in an effort to help identify healthy options on local restaurant menus. Rayna is a member of the American Dietetic Association and the following Dietetic Practice Groups - Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutrition, Nutrition in Complimentary Care, and Weight Management.


When Rayna is not working or volunteering, she enjoys spending her time with her husband, friends and family. She practices what she preaches and enjoys finding new ways to lead a healthy lifestlye.



Lorie Guizar

Lorie Casanovoa-Guizar is a Registered Dietitian with a Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition Science from the University of the Incarnate Word. She has been working in this field for 12 years. Lorie has worked in both clinical and community settings, assesing clients on an individual basis as well as implementing nutrition education programs for groups.


Lorie speaks both Spanish and English fluently. She loves her two children and is highly praised for her work ethic and sweet disposition. Lorie is extremely devoted to and loves her job. She values teaching children and adults the importance of nutrition.



Tirza Nestel

Tirza is a Registered Dietitian with a Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition Science from the University of the Incarnate Word. Tirza also completed her dietetic internship at the University of the Incarnate Word. She is a member of the American Dietetic Association and serves on the Board of the San Antonio Dietetic Association.


Tirza speaks English and Spanish fluently. She has a soft spot for dogs, especially her own, and enjoys her work as a dietitian immensely.
