NTA is a home-based small business servicing people, businesses and organizations in San Antonio, Texas and the surrounding area. Individual sessions will be
conducted at a mutually agreed upon location.
How many times will I have to come?
The number of visits required will be completely dependent on your nutritional goals and needs and will be determined during your nutrition assessment.
How long are the visits?
An initial assessment will take 60-90 minutes depending on your specific goals and needs. Follow visits will vary but generally last about 30-45 minutes.
What will happen to me at my visit?
A nutrition assessment will be completed which takes into consideration your medical diagnosis and history along with your current nutrition and physical activity
habits. From this, nutrition education will be provided and a nutrition plan will be developed that is tailored to your specific needs.
Do you see children?
Yes, we love working with children! All children under the age of 18 require guardian consent and supervision for nutrition services.
Can I bring my children or spouse?
Nutrition Therapy Associates welcomes family members to attend consultations, if agreed upon by the individual receiving nutrition therapy. Family members
offer a great support system which can enhance your likeliness to succeed. Our goal is to maximize our time to achieve the best understanding and success;
therefore, keep in mind the attentiveness of young children.
What are your hours?
All hours are by appointment only.
Will my health insurance cover my visit?
Nutrition Therapy Associates does not currently request reimbursement through insurance companies. All payments are a self-pay service and are due at the
time of service.
What is a Registered Dietitian?
A Registered Dietitian (RD) is an expert in the field of human nutrition who translates the science of nutrition into practical solutions for everyday living.
Registered Dietitians have obtained a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in nutrition, and many have graduate degrees. Registered Dietitians are also required to
complete a supervised internship through an accredited university or hospital, and take a rigorous national registration exam and maintains continuing education.
Registered Dietitians are advocates for advancing the nutritional status of their clients. All RDs at Nutrition Therapy Associates are also Licensed to practice in
the state of Texas.
